Introducing Tara Mathew Ministries

Canadian singer, Tara Mathew has a unique talent and ministry that fuses Christian comtemporary music and worship to deliver her own brand of RnB influenced SoulPop taking the Christian message to both church and secular audiences.

As a teenager in Canada, Tara won numerous singing awards and aged just 17 was the lead singer for the opening of the Canada Games, which led to her performing at many official government functions across Mexico, the USA and Canada to audiences as large as 80,000, along with national TV and radio broadcasting of her recording of the theme song.

Following this she went onto study opera and graduated with a Bmus achieving the highest mark awarded by Brandon Music University for Applied Vocals (opera) in 40 years. This led to many incredible international opportunities and a glittering career ahead, but that wasn't to be as God had different ideas for her! Tara's life unexpectedly took a change of direction and international stardom was exchanged for 5 years of missionary work in India.

Tara has now been released to use her amazing singing and songwriting talents to take a message of hope into the world and since moving to the UK has performed her Christian songs on BBC radio stations across the country, at a packed football stadium, at many prestigious West End nightclubs (including The BBC Club) and supported the likes of Lulu and Rick Astley at festivals. She has also performed on the ITV 6 o'clock News and has been featured in many national newpapers, magazines and online music blogs.

Not only has she appeared in and on many secular media platforms, but she has also performed on Revelation TV, Genesis TV, UCB TV, OHTV and Loveword TV, Premier Christian Radio, UCB Radio, Cross Rhythms Radio and has also been featured in almost every Christian magazine, newspaper and website including The 700 Club.

In the Media section of this website, you can watch some of Tara's TV performances and videos, listen to a radio interview, read what the press have to say about Tara, see where her live ministry work has taken her in the UK and also hear some of her recordings in the resource section.
